You might remember that my Naked Lady flowers were finished off by some rain a few weeks ago. I noticed earlier this week that I had a lot of seed heads. Yesterday, about 6 of those heads ripened. Wow!

Do you see that ant moving in for lunch as well. Sorry buddy, they’re mine. Usually I just stick them into the ground, but this time I think I will start them off in pots for the first year or two. The seeds will eventually form bulbs. It takes 5 or 6 seasons for them to flower, they do however send up leaves from the first season.
Flowering in my garden at the moment is Tibouchina Jules.
This is a small shrub. It appreciates being pruned back hard. I last pruned it a few years ago to ground level, and it’s never looked back! We would like a tibouchina tree in our yard. Perhaps Alstonville? They are so pretty and vibrant when they are in full bloom.
